Filming moves to:   South 8th Street Williamsburg

but first a note about Fat Moe's & The Alley

It's well documented that the alley in Williamsburg was fairly narrow and the beating of young Noodles and Max by Bugsy and his gang had to be filmed on the Prietralata set near Rome. Many interiors were filmed there and at Cinecitta Studios, Rome.

An easy way to distinguish between the two alleys is to look at the cornerstones of the building on the other side of the alley to Fat Moe's.

Filmed in Williamsburg with natural looking cornerstones

Filmed in Rome with five painted cornerstones
